Dream Caused by the Flight Of a Bee Bag SALVADOR DALI

Salvador Dali’s Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bee recycled bag is a scene of dreamlike irrationality. ”The secret of my influence has always been that it remained secret”. This surrealist painting is open to your interpretation on the recycled tote bag.

Salvador Dali and Sigmund Freud met in the late 1930s. As an adherent to Freud, Dali understood the imagery of dreams to have symbolic meanings. A pomegranate that symbolises fertility. A bee that symbolises the Virgin. The bayonet, as a symbol of the stinging bee. The two striped tigers representing the body of the bee. Dali knew that the to the dreamy state between wakefulness and sleep was possibly the most creative for a brain. © Salvador Dalí, Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí / VG Bild-Kunst, Bonn 2021.
